update 08/02/2013. Well it finally happened after a year and a half. The bed blew out. One of the depressions on the top of the bed completely blew out of the top of the bed while i was sleeping on it. Hit the floor in one big hurry. There is no fixing it. Well i am not complaining because it out lasted any other mattress i have had. I weigh 400 pounds and that kind of weight destroys any kind of bed after time. Well i have another new one in the box that has been sitting in the box for over a year. Now we will see how long this one lasts. It is time to get the silicone seal out.

The video is a updated video after having this mattress 10 months and sleeping on it every single day. I have only had this mattress a week now but have run several tests on it. The first thing is at the end of this review I put the warranty from Wenzel. Nobody ever talks about the warranty on air mattresses. I also called the number below and talk to a customer service rep about the mattress. I am required to sleep on an air mattress because of my medical condition so I have had a lot of air mattresses in the last ten years. All air mattress leak air! They are not really leaks such as a puncture. The vinyl has pores in it so they leak down, some worse than other depending on the quality of the vinyl. I have owned air mattresses cheaper than this one and much more expensive than this one. My experience on air mattresses that you either get a good one or a bad one no matter what you pay for it. The worst trouble I had with any air mattress was one that cost over $400.00. This insta bed with the never flat is the one to own. Forget the ones with the remote control.

This is a really comfortable air mattress.

I needed something comfortable that I could put in the nursery after the baby was born so that various people who came to help could sleep there. I had at first considered a cot for height, but finally was convinced an air mattress was the way to go. "Air is good. Air holds up trucks"

Pros that convinced me to buy this
- The height (a needed it to be accessible for somewhat older people who I could not expect to sleep on a low mattress).
- The good reviews

When I got it
- I inflated to firm and kept it plugged in. It stayed firm. I slept on it 9 months pregnant!!! To test it out before expecting my mom to sleep on it. I was very comfortable

Here are some things I did
- I folded up a queen size quilt and lay it on top of the air mattress. This served as a "pillow top"
- I then used QUEEN SIZED SHEETS. They were EXCELLENT and I'm glad I didn't have to go buy twin sheets. A queen fitted sheet perfectly fits over the whole mattress, and tucks underneath. Meaning, even though this is a twin sized bed, because of the height you can use a queen fitted sheet and it's not all baggy. It's perfect

Anyway, I'm really happy with this mattress. And so is mom! It's really very comfortable. Unless you sit at the very edge of the bed, you won't even know it's an air mattress. I'm going to post a picture if the nursery with this in it.

Enjoy.

Update, end of Aug 2012: I got this bed in the beginning of May 2012, to get me through while my "real" bed was in storage. I--a roughly 145 lb person--have been sleeping on it every night since then, and it worked absolutely perfectly until about a week ago, which is just shy of 4 months after I received it. The bed started to lose air (something that had never been an issue before), and I noticed that a small tear had formed in the edge of one of the circles on the top of the mattress--a problem that I see at least one other person has had based on the reviews. It wasn't a pinhole, it was about a 1/4" tear. I've had a lot of trouble patching it, both because nothing seems to stick well to the velour surface of the bed and because the tear is not on an even surface, so as soon as the bed is inflated it puts strain on the patch. I will note that in the course of moving I lost the patch that came with the bed and have been trying to use products from the hardware store, but I don't think it should be impossible to patch a bed without the "official" patch. About two days ago a new pinhole-size leak appeared on the opposite side of the same circle, and yesterday the original tear broke free of its patch and increased in size to almost two inches!

In light of this new problem, I've revised my five-star rating to three stars. I'm still giving it a decent rating because I don't think air beds are really meant for constant use, and this one has performed exceptionally well up to this point. I'm frustrated that patching it has proven difficult, however, so be aware of that when making a purchase.
